Flinders Ranges Bush Festival presents Things to do and see around Quorn |
Quorn is situated in the heart of the Flinders Ranges and is only a short drive away
from many places of interest, such as Melrose, Aligator George, Hawker, Kanyaka
Ruins and Port Augusta. Quorn itself also offers much to see and do. You can choose from several bush walking tracks including the Hysen trail. The views from Mount Brown, Devil's Peak Dutchman Stern and Mount Arden are awesome. There are walking tracks for the very fit to the not so fit. To add to this we have a fantastic camping ground near Quorn situated in Warren's George where you can easily view the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby, Possums, Euro's and many bird species. Then there is the awesome drive from Quorn to Hawker, no not on the main road but via Partacoona station. From hill country to plains and back again. There are many photo opportunities on this road. Watch out for the old wagon near the turn off into Hawker! In Town you will find Art Galleries, Craft shops, Places to eat and of course the Pichi Richi Steam and Diesel trains. There is something for everyone's taste in Quorn. |
